TactiSMART 072: It's A Fine Grenadier Mess You've Gotten Us Into, BIG U.S. ARMY and Little marine corps!

As you know, we advocate large warhead, RIFLE-HAND (stick) GRENADES (RHGs) be issued to EVERY Infantry combatant (excepting those that carry RPGs, RRs) so we finally start to High Explosive (HE) effect COMBAT OVERMATCH upon foes with squad-level RHGs since the tiny 40mm grenades are not powerful enough--except in confined spaces which they may be accurately fired to reach into.

However, there is still weight-carrying room in the rifle squad for a MINIMALIST M203 or M320 40mm Grenade Launcher (GL) precision "blooping" small, palm-sized HE and other rounds MOUNTED UNDER the AR15/M16/M4whatever Assault Rifle for combined Kinetic Energy (KE) bullet destructive effects.

This is the deadly Vietnam COMBAT learned lessons to NOT STOP FIRING KE bullets to switch to the separate Pittsburgh Steeler, Rocky Bleier's M79 GL and LOSE FIRE SUPERIORITY vs-a-vis the enemy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky_Bleier

After his rookie season with the Steelers, Bleier was drafted into the U.S. Army on December 4, 1968, during the Vietnam War.[8] He volunteered for duty in South Vietnam and shipped out for Vietnam in May 1969 assigned to Company C, 4th Battalion (Light), 31st Infantry, 196th Light Infantry Brigade and assigned as a squad grenadier operating a 40mm M79 grenade launcher. On August 20, while on patrol in Hiep Duc, Bleier was wounded in the left thigh by an enemy rifle bullet when his platoon was ambushed in a rice paddy. While he was down, an enemy grenade landed nearby after bouncing off a fellow Soldier, sending shrapnel into his lower right leg.[9] He lost part of his right foot in the blast as well.[10][11] He was later awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. His rank was Specialist 4.

While he was recovering in a hospital in Tokyo, doctors told him that he could not play football again. Soon after, he received a postcard from Steelers owner Art Rooney which simply read "Rock - the team's not doing well. We need you. Art Rooney". Bleier later said, "When you have somebody take the time and interest to send you a postcard, something that they didn't have to do, you have a special place for those kinds of people". After several surgeries, he was discharged from the military in July 1970,[12] and began informal workouts with Steeler teammates.[13][14][15]

What RIGHT Looks Like: M4/M203 5.56mm KE Assault Rifle + 40mm Grenade Launcher Combination = READY FIREPOWER

Daniel Craig's James Bond agent 007 will be blasting some Illuminati LAND ROVERs with a M4/M203 GL in "No Time to Die"--if we ever get to see it!

https://www.bitchute.com/video/SNq3XMig7YvO/

The Vietnam combat veteran, Oliver Stone's "Scarface" has a young Al Pacino blooping 40mm HE rounds out from a M16/M203 GL with Hollywood-amplified fiery explosions; but Michelle Pfeiffer looks terrible in it, so I say the movie sucks. Michelle looks far sexier at her movie-stealing dancing scene at the end of "Valentine's Day".

Speaking from direct, personal experience as an USMC Grenadier and an ARMY infantry Leader, the AR/GL combination is vital for pyrotechnic signalling to direct and mark where enemy targets are for organic fires of the unit you are in as well as help from outsiders--say Close/Maneuver Air Support from A-10s, AH-6s, OH-58Ds (when we had them), AH-64s etc. The "Grenadier" mentality should not supersede the needs of the LEADER to be combination-armed with an AR/GL for firepower and signalling.

However, today's 20-something lazytard generation has weighed in (irony intended) on the issue--an example why military democracy has to be viewed with wiser combat lessons caution.

The Lazytards Can't Hand the GL Weight Under their Assault Rifle?

What WRONG Looks Like--UGGGH.

To our horror, BIG ARMY is now pushing that everyone carry the M320 GL separately in a big holster at the waist--creating a 1x minute firepower disruption every time the shooter switches from AR to GL--and vice-a-versa.

BS QUOTE:

"Do not under-mount the M320. Always carry it in the standalone configuration. Under-mounting decreases the effectiveness of both the M4 and the M320. The increased weight unbalances the weapon and increases fatigue during carry. [EDITOR: BOO-HOO, pussy] Added bulk impedes firing positions and decreases accuracy. Used as a standalone, the M320 is more accurate, easier to operate, allows the grenadier to focus on one weapon system, and it is easier to grab the M320 if the grenadier becomes a casualty. Grenadiers patrol with M4 at the ready (to react to immediate and/or short range contact) and have M320 holstered for rapid [EDITOR: TOO SLOW, TOO LATE] transition.

Always use the sights and buttstock."

****

This is a fatally intolerable firepower loss in the middle of a desperate struggle to assert fire supremacy of a light, narcissistic infantry that refuses to employ LIGHT TANKS with vehicle-level firepower several orders of magnitude greater than what can be carried on the human body.

www.combatreform.org/lighttanks.htm

www.combatreform.org/itmaneuversabattalion.htm

The USMC's separate GL clunker, the Milkor M32A1 is 18.4 pounds of extra weight slung at the back until needed--a 2x minute loss of firepower transitioning to it--with a meager firepower advantage of 6x 40mm HE rounds fired faster say in under 1x minute--to the single-shot M320 needing 6x minutes reloading time to render the same effects.

https://www.milkorusa.com/product/m32a1-usmc-40mm-v-02/

All the while rendering small AREA destructive effects that you, the combatant is not knocking down POINT targets like enemy AK47/AKM or RPG shooters. It's either KE or HE--but not both at the same time which a combined weapon can do.

Another risk of the separate GL is no transition happening--it gets dropped like an ex-USN SEAL did during the tankless, Benghazi fiasco losing all indirect fire capabilities to hit Islamothugs masked from KE bullet Line of Sight (LOS) behind buildings. Of course, the holster M320 GL could and should be dummy-corded for retention. The 18.4 pound, Milkor is a tactile sensation on your torso that if felt missing, Private Pyle better go find it quick.

What-the-fuck has got into these Sub-National Conflict (SNC) "combat veterans" of AFPAK and Iraq filling out surveys declaring the GL under the AR somehow "hinders the [aiming/firing] operation of both"?

What a crock of shit.

What are all those upper body strengthening exercises for? To look buff to just pick-up chicks? This new generation can't tolerate the minuscule extra weight of a GL--albeit it does bite on the 3rd class lever action on the arms--to have it INSTANTLY READY FOR COMBINED FIREPOWER during a desperate firefight? Want to talk weight? What about the FUNCTION DUPLICATION of carrying 2x buttstocks and pistol grips with separate AR & GL when you can have just one of the former? THAT--is what's minimalist--no sexy GL holster weight, either.

The conclusion we must draw is that during infrequent SNC combats, more maneuvering than firing takes place so Soldiers/marines bitch & moan about the extra GL weight as they 90% are constantly aiming for immediate LOS and only firing 10% of the time in an actual firefight. This SNC Lowest Common Denominator (LCD) should NOT drive our infantry force structure. The Greatest Common Denominator (GCD) should drive our force design--Nation State War (NSW) combats like fighting the excellent and tough North Vietnamese Army (NVA) which demand MAXIMUM, COMBAT OVERMATCHING FIREPOWER be instantly ready--which means the GL is under the AR for instant additional firepower in SECONDS with no lulls in firepower playing musical weapons.

The argument that the separate 40mm GL and a loose bandolier of ammo can be tossed to a shooter in the right position to hit the enemy is more bogus lazytardism.

You can equally give the guy with the LOS drop on the enemy your AR/GL in exchange for his AR. God forbid, "he isn't signed for it" is absurd, bureaucratic, garritrooper retardism.

Plus toss him your 40mm bandolier, too.

Since combat history, logic, reason mean nothing to the current generation, we propose timed tests be conducted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina (Fort Benning is too politically biased) with the best combat-experienced shooters available (as long as they are not biased in either way to the competing set-ups) of the M4/M320 AR/GL combination vs. the separate M4 AR and M320 using the exact same Load Bearing Equipment (LBE) 40mm GL arrangement so that's not a factor--as long as the set-up doesn't favor one test group or the other. We recognize the sex appeal and inherent lazy Soldier bias for the GL-in-the-holster approach. If that's what commanders want it should be their call (option not the newsletter)--so be it--but to force this Hollywood down the force design of all ARMY units is fatal malpractice and intolerable. Similar tests should be done for stripper clips vs. PRE-Loaded Magazines (PRELMs) to convince requirements writers that the next 21st rifle be able to load both ways like the legendary M14/M21.

Combined M4 AR/M320 GL

BANG! BANG! Bloop! = 3x seconds

Separate M4 AR & M320 GL

BANG! BANG! Drop (on its sling or put down) Grab Bloop!  = 6x to 60x seconds

BANG-BANG-BLOOP (3x seconds) beats BANG-BANG-DROP-GRAB-BLOOP (60x seconds).

Left-handed, M4/M320 40mm loading can be expedited by rotating it at the wrist to be upside down akin to what's done to speed load shotguns re: Steve McQueen in "The Getaway".

40mm GL Futures?

Hopefully, after the separate AR & GL self-inflicted wound is corrected, we can toughen ourselves to carry this extra weight under our ARs so that gunshields can be attached during assaults:

GMTA: Notice DEVIANT ARTSTER, RedWolf77sg understands 40mm small warhead possibilities like the camera/parachute and the mini-flash bang! grenade to stun foes in rooms before clearing them. Also notice the REASONABLE 40mm upgrade would be a 3 + 1 magazine-feed GL that our beloved Vietnam combat RED LEG friend, LTC "Ranger Larry" Altersitz USAR (R) loved and we came close to fielding--until a moron from the USMC ruined everything insisting HIGH-velocity 40mm rounds that are METAL LINKED IN BELTS (WTFO?) be able to fire from it. This was a technical demand too-far and killed the project.

What Happened to Air Burst?

Notice no mention that the tiny 40mm has tiny destructive effects when it gets over the masking terrain...what's going to correct THAT, Mr. 40mm Program Manager?

Ask the Rifle Grenade PEO.

Oh, wait! There is no one advocating Rifle Grenades in the WOKETARDED U.S. ARMY and moron korps!

Not surprisingly, somehow, BIG ARMY fucked-up the air bursting grenade shot thru a GL. Why din't anyone do air bursting WITH MORE WARHEAD TO WORK with,. aka the bullet trap Rifle Grenade?

That's what we need.

Instead, the Army mated a computer to a KE 5.56mm bullet assault rifle, found it to be too heavy, then a stand-alone 25mm GL (see that bad weaponry configuration DNA coming?) and botched that. Their excuse to Bureaucratically Kill (BK) the XM25 Punisher even after combat success?

The XM25 Counter Defilade Target Engagement (CDTESystem,[5] also known as the Punisher and Individual Semiautomatic Air Burst System was an airburst grenade launcher with programmable ammunition derived from the XM29 OICW. It was fielded to Soldiers serving in the War in Afghanistan in 2010,[6] after which malfunctions and 2013 program budget cuts[7] delayed official entry into service, planned for early 2017.[8] In early 2017, the contract with Orbital ATK was cancelled, calling the future of the entire program into question.[9] The program was officially terminated on 24 July 2018.[10]

The XM25 CDTE fires 25mm grenades that are set to explode in mid-air at or near the target. A laser rangefinder in the weapon is used to determine the distance to the target. The user can manually adjust the detonating distance by up to 10 feet (3.0 m) shorter or longer; the XM25 automatically transmits the detonating distance to the grenade in the firing chamber. The grenade tracks the distance it has traveled by the number of spiral rotations after it is fired,[11] then detonates at the proper distance to produce an airburst effect. These features make the XM25 more effective than traditional grenade launchers at the task of hitting targets that are behind cover or dug into the ground.

The M203 grenade launcher has an effective range for point targets of 150 meters, and a maximum range for area targets of 350 meters. The XM25 has an effective range for point targets of 600 meters, and a maximum range for area targets of 700 meters. Studies indicate that the XM25 with air burst rounds is 300 percent more effective at engaging the enemy than other squad-level grenade launchers.[12]

The XM29 was intended to be an individual combat weapon that combined a rifle and airburst grenade launcher. It weighed 18 lb (8.2 kg), far more than an individual rifle or grenade launcher. Its 20mm airbursting grenades weighed half as much as 230 g (8.1 oz) 40mm grenades. These lighter grenades were less effective at suppressing the enemy or putting them out of action. In August 2003, the XM29 roles were separated into specific weapons, with the rifle pursued as the XM8, and the OICW Increment 2 standalone airburst component as the XM25. As a standalone launcher, it was intended to be a special applications and support weapon, able to fire larger 270 g (9.5 oz) 25mm grenade rounds which would generate 50 percent more, and heavier, fragments within a 6 m (20 ft) radius compared to the experimental 20mm grenades.

In the summer of 2010, the United States Army began field testing the XM25 in Afghanistan, with an initial per-unit cost of the early models ranging from US$30,000 to $35,000.[1] Five of the weapons were deployed with the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan in October 2010,[18] along with 1,000 hand-made airburst rounds. The Soldiers reported that the weapon was extremely effective at killing or neutralizing enemy combatants firing on U.S. troops from covered positions. U.S. troops nicknamed the weapon, "The Punisher."[19] First contact was on 3 December 2010. As of February 2011, the weapon had been fired 55 times in nine engagements by two units in different locations. It had disrupted two insurgent attacks on observation posts, destroyed two PKM machine gun positions, and destroyed four ambush sites. In one engagement, an enemy machine gunner was wounded by, or so frightened of, the XM25 that he dropped his weapon and ran away. The units with the XM25s had no casualties during the nine engagements. The weapon was called "revolutionary" and "a game-changer." One platoon leader commented that engagements that would normally take 15 to 20 minutes were over in just a few minutes. They performed flawlessly with no maintenance problems. Soldiers were so pleased that they carried it as their primary weapon without carrying an M4 carbine as a secondary. There were no complaints about its weight, but improvements to the battery life and a range increase to 1,000 meters were sought. Each round was hand built at a cost of $1,000.[20]

****
Screaming Eagle leaders should not have allowed the XM25 GL to become the new M79 GL robbing their units of Direct Fire (DF) firepower by creating provisional MBOFs and using their COTS buying powers to obtain the best & lightest 5.56mm Personal Defense Weapons (PDWs) for MBOF Soldiers to not be limited to only Indirect Fire (IF) effects. The KelTec PLR-16 was--and still is--available at very low weight shooting the same STANAG 30-round magazines as everyone else in the U.S. ARMY uses.

The needless loss of KE bullet firepower with the ZST trade-off of M4 5.56mm Assault Carbines for XM25 smart 25mm GLs is indicative of the trailer-trash, welfare recipient, zero initiative Fuck It, Drive On (FIDO) stupidity poisoning the entire U.S. ARMY. Soldiers using their middle class wages to buy CDs and players is somehow more important than winning firefights and coming home alive and not mutilated?  .

QUOTE:

"The XM25 has had some criticism by users. One situation occurred in March 2013 where elements of the 75th Ranger Regiment refused to take the 14 lb (6.4 kg) weapon on a raid because they found it too heavy and cumbersome. They also felt its low basic ammunition load and magazine capacity of 25mm grenades were not enough to justify the removal of an M4A1 carbine from the mission.[4]

Although the XM25 enables infantry units to engage enemies hiding behind cover, the weapon has been met with several points of criticism, specifically that it requires Soldiers to exchange their rifle and use it as their primary weapon, making them unable to perform required tasks in many squad battle drills; there is also concern that the operator has a reduced capacity to engage targets at close range and that its basic load of 36 rounds can be depleted too quickly in direct-fire engagements.[14]"

Wait!

Classic ZERO SUM non-THINK. In Rangerland, FIDO.

Hadji must have breathed a sigh of relief that no RANGER presented any air-bursting DANGER to him if he was "IN" defilade like flint. Stray thought: no air bursting 120mm mortars in 75th Ranger land? No 84mm Carl Gustav air bursting rounds? What? No one ordered any

NOT FIDO. GIDO. GET MORE.

Get an extra man to carry the extra XM25 smart GL.

Or 2x men--1x is NONE; 2x are 1x.

Have them in a MBOF so their primary function is NOT to do MANEUVER requiring close range shooting.

Do Rangers know that there is a functional difference between APPLES and ORANGES?

Amerikan Lawyers Defeatism Corrodes Everything Again

Congress is composed of do-nothing BS talkers most without any National Service to include the USMIL--they got elected by their extra, expendable income gathered by over-charging their hapless clients as lawyers--ignorant of how REAL kinetic life works--they are also under Illuminati blackmail to ruin our country--which means our military. The XM25 has 1x--read that--1x round going off injuring a Soldier and THEY CANCEL THE ENTIRE PROGRAM. What fucking traitors. You do guns, weapons things like this happen. It's called LIFE.

QUOTE:

On 2 February 2013, an XM25 exploded during a live-fire training event in Panjwai Afghanistan with Fierce Company 52nd Infantry, 1st Battalion 38th Infantry, 4th Brigade 2nd Infantry Division. The primer and propellant ignited as the result of a double feed, although safety mechanisms prevented the round's warhead from detonating. The gun was inoperable after the explosion and the Soldier received minor injuries. In [over] response, the Army removed the XM25 from service in Afghanistan. ATK noted that there were nearly 5,900 rounds fired between failures.[23] The misfiring caused the Army to delay the decision to move the XM25 into full-rate production, pending changes to the design of the weapon and ammunition, [EDITOR: Army] operating procedures, and training techniques. Testing continued at Aberdeen Proving Ground, where developers incorporated 130 design improvements. Despite the incident, Pentagon budget proposals included $69 million for 1,400 XM25 systems. The Army planned on a total of 10,876 units, two per infantry squad and one per Special Forces team.[24]

In June 2013, the Senate Armed Services Committee eliminated all funding for the 1,400 XM25 systems the Army wanted to purchase from the 2014 budget. The malfunction in February raised concerns about the safety and effectiveness of the weapon. The "unreliable performance" of the weapon led to funding being cut, as well as the recommendation to review alternative airburst weapon systems.[25]

****
1x as in ONE SINGULAR malfunction and the SASC throws the towel in?

And the Illuminati are somehow NOT out to ruin the USMIL?

"Unreliable performance" is LYING LAWYERSPEAK to LIE and make it look like ONE incident represents MANY incidents THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.

That was in 2013. Now fast forward to today. Things are even worse.

Suddenly it's AOfucking K now, TODAY to lose KE bullet firepower just because Special Feces (sorry it has to be said this way) does separate weapons by their holstered M320 40mm GL while an AC is in the hands, shtick?

NEWS FLASH!

Everything SF does is neither automatically smart nor golden. Their tankless ways cry out the words: BULL SHIT. STUPID.

So IF having a computer was non-negotiable (lawyerism again), necessary for air bursting effects to destroy enemies hiding behind masking terrain, then place a XM25 25mm smart GL in a Mini-Base-of-Fire (MBOF) say the FIRETeam B that suppresses the enemy for MANEUVERTeam A in the 9-man infantry squad. Just 1x XM25 per squad.

Apparently not only is a computer NOT necessary for air bursting munitions, they claim it can be done with even LESS warhead than a Rife Grenade! You got it, the bureaucratic fav, the tiny 40mm.

"Airburst technology is being developed for the M203/M320 weapon platform to provide rapid defeat of defilade personnel targets at extended ranges, effectively increasing warfighter readiness by providing state-of-the-art technology with new engagement capabilities. When deployed against point and area targets, such as a single enemy combatant in defilade or multiple enemy combatants in the open, the HEAB XM1166 cartridge will enable a Grenadier to inflict incapacitating effects against personnel at increased ranges beyond those offered by the current M433 HEDP--up to 600 meters, from the current range of 400. Additionally, the increased range of the XM1166 will allow Grenadiers to employ lethal effects against targets throughout the full range of military operations with improved accuracy and at greater standoff ranges, increasing survivability."

Notice nothing done to fix the tiny 40mm's warhead so it's minuscule air burst just doesn't blow smoke and tiny fragments upon hardened enemies (tracked tanks, body armor, overhead cover). Again, the lying DA Civilian is offering marginal upgrades which are safe to preserving his comfy, middle-class wages, job but NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM THAT AROUND THE WORLD, POTENTIAL ENEMIES ARE TANK-MECHANIZING--not putting themselves into unarmored, air-filled tire dune buggies and thinly-armored cars/trucks.

"Full range of operations"?

What a fucking, bald-faced LIE.

What will a tiny air bursting 40mm grenade do in tank-mechanized warfare when everyone is buttoned up in a well-armored tank behind that "defilade" so no ATGM infared thermal can see them?

The entire enemy target profile of tank-less, foot-sloggers in defilade smacks of the easy, feel-good mirror images of the Fort Benning Light Infantry Narcissist (LINNIE) selves--not what enemies are capable of being & doing--but what LINNIES want them to be: easy ragheads to kill in Sub-National Conflicts (SNCs)--not high technology, more professional-than-us Soldiers/Paratroopers/TechnoTactical experts with an entire country's scientific (Follow the zience!) industrial base pushing them forward aka Nation-State War (NSW).

The bad news is by prolonging operations instead of smothering/ending them as Sun Tzu warns us, even Hadji is learning how to do NSW-type things because we provide him constant "training events" for his "learning curve". REFUSING BATTLE is a foreign language to those who want to $$$ racketeer conflicts for greed & ego gains--and is why the Taliban are gobbling up Afghanistan now.

Hadji with a RPG

Hadji doesn't surf--but he does LEARN how to kill you.

Weaponry Diagnosis: Make an air-bursting Rifle Hand (stick) Grenade, BIG ARMY.

However, BIG ARMY--like little marine corps--CONSTANTLY LIES; the most common deception is NOT CALLING THINGS WHAT THEY ARE. This dirty trick learned from lying LAWYERS whose LAWYERISM has turned our country into the current Amerikan shit-hole.

“Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.”

--God, Almighty, Luke 11:52; King James Bible

The key of KNOWLEDGE is accurately labeling things what they are with insight--not LYING and DECEIVING your audience about them.

The Israeli RAFAEL Simon RLEM is a fucking bullet-trap, RIFLE GRENADE

However, lying HQDA DOES NOT WANT SOLDIERS TO KNOW THAT RIFLE GRENADES ARE GOOD and are BETTER HE WARHEAD EFFECTS PROVIDERS than tiny 40mm grenades and Kinetic Energy (KE) bullets lest milsheeple put 2 + 2 together and see the Simon RLEM BLAST OPEN DOORS. To marginalize the Simon, instead they call it a BS term other than WHAT IT IS: which is a fucking bullet trap, RIFLE GRENADE. Why do you think LINNIE and WHOPPERTANKTARDS refuse to call the M113 the Gavin after LTG Gavin who created it? Or that it's a fucking, light, tracked tank? Vulgarity vitally necessary to make clear the intolerable EVIL of not describing things as they are; aka calling-a-spade-a-spade aka "it's an E-TOOL". How about calling a SHOVEL....a...drum roll, please...SHOVEL? Were you the fucktard that conjured up IEwhatevers for LAND MINES? UAass for UAVs? How about my fist hitting your face, you lying staff officer? What would you call that?

I'd say JUSTICE.

Even More Lawyer BULLSHIT Sabotage...

I can't believe what I'm reading. 1868? What the fuck is the relevance of some obscure minor law from 1868?

Smells of the 1619 whiny black grifter BS, doesn't it?

READ ON.

QUOTE:

"In 2017 Orbital ATK filed suit via the U.S. District court in the district of Minnesota against Heckler and Koch for damages of over U.S. $27 million, claiming failure to deliver 20 XM25 prototype units. The filing also requested Transfer of Intellectual Property to allow Orbital ATK to contract another vendor for production of the system. The complaint stated that Heckler and Koch had wished legal clarification regarding potential violations of the Saint Petersburg Declaration of 1868, which bans "any projectile of a weight below 400 grams" containing explosives. After consultation [EDITOR: with lying BS lawyers concocting excuses for H&K sabotaging Orbital ATK], Heckler and Koch had stipulated that the U.S. Government issue a special certification regarding use of the weapons system. The U.S. Government did not issue such and negotiations broke down.[29][30] In April 2017, the Army cancelled its contract with Orbital ATK after they [H & K] failed to deliver 20 weapons as specified by the terms, putting the operational future of the XM25 in jeopardy.[9]

On 24 July 2018, the Army signed a memorandum officially terminating the program, after settling the lawsuit with Orbital ATK that gave the military intellectual property rights to the weapons and ammunition.[10]

****
Clearly Hecklers & Kotchya! game set-up Orbital ATK for failure.

Why?

Guess who makes the new 40mm GL to replace the M203?

H & K.

A smart GL threatens the H &K bottom line.

Evil. Lawyer corporate evil.

That's what's going on OUTSIDE the Army.

Let's look INSIDE the Army (not the defense publication by that name).

So now HQDA owns the IP for the XM25 smart GL to sit on it?

And the Illuminati are somehow NOT kontrolling HQDA?

The USAF "owns" the highly combat efficient A-37 Dragonfly observation/attack IP and to no one's surprise, sits on it so tax payers instead have to buy drastically more sexyspensive fighter-bombers.

Where is WW2 combat Paratrooper Rod Serling when you need him to write a sci-fi-veiled horror story about the MILINDCOMP?

Lately, BIG ARMY lies about Rifle Grenade to prop-up the Humpty-Dumpty weak 40mm grenade:

Reduce to the tiny 40mm grenade they'll be no collateral damage because THERE WILL BE NO DAMAGE; the damn thing doesn't work]  The 40mm Door Breach LV XM1167 provides small units with a lightweight round that can conduct a ballistic breach at ranges up to 50 meters without pause between actual breach and entry of the initial force. This allows units to quickly gain access to a building at a safe distance, while enabling them to gain and maintain a tactical advantage. The cartridge will be lightweight, reducing the Soldier's load, and has a low recoil force when fired from the M4/M320, minimizing fatigue. The XM1167 cartridge is expected to be fielded in FY20, and will greatly enhance the warfighter's effectiveness in military operations in urban terrain while increasing safety and survivability."

1st, WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT.

The TINY 40mm grenade can't do shit damage-wise, compared to a fucking HUGE RIFLE GRENADE WARHEAD.

2nd, this BUREAUCRATmisthink of boo hoo! the felt recoil of a rifle grenade is somehow onerous (intolerable) so let's physically emasculate to something TINY that MAY NOT EVEN FUCKING WORK.

"Scarface" Hollywood special Fx effect lies aside, we seriously doubt the tiny 40mm will do jack-squat against heavy wood or steel doors.

Whatever happened to fucking COMMON, F = M x A SENSE?

Not from this constantly digitally lying, out-of-touch-with-physical-reality AGE OF DESPAIR GENERATION. Pre-2021 the DISinformation Age generation aka zeitgeist.

The need for room-clearing SPEED IS a valid need; however, popping off tiny 40mm grenades into doors that doesn't open them as they withstand like a pig in a brick house does NOT speed anything but your wounding/death having alerted enemies. Door entry is fundamentally tactically unsound. The best way to enter a room is by a MOUSE HOLE thru an unexpected wall by a HE satchel charge or a tracked, armored TANK the light infantry narcissists love to hate. If one wants to make the case that the Simon door entry RG may be too much blast effect on cheap, light, often hollow doors, THEN FUCKING SAY THIS--don't defecate on something powerful we need with BS less-is-more lies when usually less-is-fucking-less except less WORK for lazy, un-trusting-of-subordinates bureaucrats.

Once INSIDE the room, a blast effect is FASTER than sexy rifle/carbine/pistol pointing/shooting like emulating a "Call of Duty" Video Game. The 14-hour firefights done from U.S. inferiority of force structure, design & equipment (TTPE3) lamented by LTG H.R. McMaster (R) yet again.

Therefore, the most important role the 40mm GL can "fill" with its tiny warhead "fill" is room-clearing in urban combats by blooping a FLASH-BANG projectile (the Canadians make such a round) into every room as per WW2 experience. A Grenadier can carry a lot of 40mm rounds to clear a lot of rooms. The Grenadier vest holds 20x 40mm grenades:

...or a lot of MOLLE 40mm pouches can be fitted to the shooter's ballistic-protective vest or Tactical Tailor's MOLLE Drop Leg Panel which can carry 8x on a left/right leg ideal for a leader primarily using his GL for pyrotechnic signals.

Could the 20mm/12 gauge shotgun shell be enough "warhead" to flash-bang stun an enemy in a room? How about 2x fired in rapid succession?

Maybe we should FIND OUT and waste less less time WOKETARD whining about why 100 pound females with 20% less muscle mass than men can't perform as well as 200-pound males?

Summary/Conclusion

Commanders should make the decision on having their 40mm GLs attached or separate as well as WHO has them. I always carried on under my M16A2 (I know) because I needed it as a LEADER to control the firefight by personal example and to pyro-visually communicate.

NEWS FLASH! The Pike missile gives 40mm GLs a new lease on life--IF the USMIL buys them....
