The weird sports event, all-day carnival APFT is cancelled. The COMBAT PT test is 6 miles in full combat gear--helmet & body armor and rucksack with existence load; 1 hour, 30 minutes is passing = 4 mph. 100 points is 6 miles in under 1 hour speed marching out of ear and eye shot of the enemy to hit him with surprise and violence of action like Darby's RANGERS and todays IDF Paras. Starting tomorrow everyone in the Army not deployed or doing a FTX will do a DIAGNOSTIC ACPFT 6-mile speed march. There will be NO MORE UNIT SPORTS ATTIRE PT; everyone wears the ACU or removes the top jacket to t-shirt as bare minimums. No more formation runs destroying feet, ankles, knees and lower backs just because middle-aged men can run distance better than youngsters--this is the U.S. ARMY not an old fart's ego club. EVERYONE WILL MARCH aka walk as their combat-relevent PT.
Everyone will from tomorrow on report for duty in ARMY COMBAT UNIFORM (ACUs) @ 0800 rested & alert--we must end sleep deprivation that kills our Soldiers who are all now sleep-deprived by our dangerous time schedule. DUTY DAY ENDS AT 1700 unless on FTX or night WarPractice. The word "training" we no longer be spoken, its "War Practice" we practice for winning WARS. Everyone from 1700 to 1200 has decompressed family life away from the BIG ARMY. Everyone aslep by 2400 so everyone gets at least 6-7 hours sleep before reporting for duty ALERT and ENERGIZED @ 0800. Combat PT should be done at the end of the day so no time is wasted during the duty day playing sports club showering/changing clothes--go home sweaty and take shower there after released at 1700. As much as possible, Soldiers will work thru lunch time by box lunches brought in not wasting time driving to the DFAC or Burger King.

The entire U.S. ARMY must be in tracks; our 250, 000 trucks can have tracks fitted to their rear-most wheels making them half-tracks--a worthy start. The thousands of M113s we have must be upgraded with 30mm autocannon, ATGM remote weapon systems, active and passive armor into "Super Gavins" supplied to the Delta "Dragoons" Weapons companies of every one of our light IBCTs--that's right the M113 is officially now the "Gavin" after LTG Gavin who created it.

Time-wasting inefficiency gets you killed in war--like being dependent on a steady supply of PReLoadEd Magazines (PRELMs). The more complex the task, the greater the GROUPLAG.
High I.Q. Russian and Chinese troops have--and still have--the manual dexterity to operate time-saving-by-not-needing-PRELMs, high firepower-volume-creating drums in their weapons; the former won WW1/2 and the latter hurt Americans badly in the Korean War with them. If "Bubba" (rural American) can figure out how to make drums work, don't knock Bubba--or a smart G.I. Joe.

It doesn't take any courage-demanding skills to sit one's ass on a bench seat in a track compared to parachute-jumping out of a "perfectly good airplane". Moreover, Luddite, light infantry narcissists whine that if they have tanks they'll somehow waste all their time in the motor pool maintaining and become fat & out-of-shape, "mech pussies". People LIVE DOWN to their social status within bureaucracies. Professionals are connected to objective reality and know better. Enough tankless Army and gyrene korps getting BATTLEHURT in places like Koh Tang island, Beirut, Mogadishu. "Leadership failure" is not a strong enough description; LEADERSHIP ABSENT and criminal military malpractice is what it is. Enough.

Their rear ramps can come down and you can get OUT OF THE FUCKING TRACK and PT all "From Here to Eternity" day-long if you want 6-pack abs to seduce the girls...BUT YOU'LL BE ALIVE and not a DEAD hero with her weeping over your flag-draped coffin. Let's start with U.S. ARMY force structure WEIGHT.
LIGHT Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) is really a L-IBCT
MEDIUM Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) is really a M-SBCT
HEAVY Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) is really a H-ABCT
Next, their actual FUNCTIONAL COMPOSITION.
Anything that is tracked and armored is a TANK.
Another word for tank is "MECHANIZED" or "MECH" for short.
Sadly, "MECH" has a negative meaning now of the fat & out-of-shape "mech pussy" in the existentialist, vain egomilitary bureaucracy.
We must turn-the-tables on this as fictional French Colonel Raspeguy would do making "MECH" a badge of honor.
Anything that is motor-driven with wheels is MOTORIZED. Not necessarily "Stryker" their ill-conceived nickname for their wheeled crap deathtraps, so M-SBCTs should be M-MBCT.
However, any fighting unit that is MOUNTED in a vehicle is a DRAGOON.

A kick-ass name to change Soldier perceptions of themselves and start seeing things for what they are by a TAB on their uniform's shoulder.
L-IBCTs = Light MotoDragoons. Light Motorized infantry in crap Humvee/JLTV trucks.
M-SBCTs = Medium MotoDragoons. Medium Motorized infantry in crap LAV-III/Stryker trucks.
H-ABCTs = MechDragoons or just plain Dragoons in M113 Gavin, M2/3 Bradley and M1 Abrams light/medium/heavy tanks.
No one is going to sit on their complacent asses here with a Dragoon ego trip. If you are a Dragoon you must work hard to be the BEST.
To fix the L-IBCTs their "D" elta Dragoon Weapons companies should replace their crap Humvee/JLTV TOW ATGM trucks with M113A4 Super Gavin light mechanized tanks with 30mm autocannon/SPIKE ATGMs. Space in the Super Gavin's back to carry HHC, A, B or C companies as needed. If they are an Airborne unit that is parachute-jump, GeoStrategically movile; ParaDragoons is the tab they wear.

101st Airborne (Air Assault) units flying by helicopters would be HeliDragoons but they had better get light tanks that can fly by existing CH-47D/F Chinook helicopters and/or get bigger helos like the CH-53K King Stallion.
Super Gavin units that operate amphibiously by Army Joint Logistics Over-The-Shore (JLOTS) watercraft would be SeaDragoons.
Stryker Trucks are NOT Cavalry: Send to MPs, Replace with Pumas & Wiesel 2s
Stryker trucks are NOT more mobile than the Dragoon main body they are to serve. The U.S. ARMY has wasted too many lives & limbs and taxpayer dollars on these road/trail-bound "Kevlar Coffins" as G.I.s call them--dismal failures in Iraq/Afghanistan they were pilled from combat service since they are NOT COMBAT fighting vehicles, either. They are permissive peaceniking trucks Globalists Bill & Hillary Clinton wanted to virtue signal while war emasculating and exhausting the America's Army into never-ending, illegitimate foreign occupations.
Vanilla Strykers will be sent to Military Police (MP) units to patrol our Main Supply Route (MSR) roads, transport captured, bound & blind-folded enemy prisoners, weapons & ammo using the space they have in back and trailers. Specialty Strykers go back to their branch users to be farmed-out OPCON as needed to the Army's BCTs; medical Dragoons, Engineer Dragoons, etc. The TOW ATGM and 120mm firing Strykers will be assembled together into one Assault Dragoon battalion to be sent-out in sub-units to the BCTs as needed. The 9 x M-SBCTs will become M-Puma BCTs aka CAVALRY.
The Puma is a medium-weight, 30-ton tracked tank with 30mm autocannon, SPIKE ATGM and rear ramp enter/exit and top hatch for a 6 x man 19D Scout team. The M-PBCTs would themselves have a lighter Cavalry component with 5-ton, Wiesel 2 tankettes that can carry a 6-man Scout team and RO-RO from inside Army CH-47D/F Chinook helicopters. As Pumas/Wiesel 2s are obtained, the 9 x designated Cavalry BCTs will operate surplus wheeled MRAP trucks sitting unused after the huge Iraqi occupation was drawn down.
Cavalry--is a FUNCTION--its an unit MORE MOBILE than the MAIN BODY; usually mounted on 30 mph horses so they are faster than the 1 mph slow, plodding walking infantry. With the advent of tracked tanks more mobile than the foot infantry at the dawn of the INDUSTRIAL Age (1900) , the U.S. ARMY failed to figure out that since both the Cavalry AND the main body can/should be mounted in tracks, they need a NEW FUNCTIONAL NAME for this since "main body" and "armor" isn't going to cut-it. Nor is trying to call everyone in the main body a "giant cavalry" and lose the essence of the Sun Tzu extra-ordinary and regular force synergism.
Dragoons solves this.
Dragoons are the main body mounted in tanks so as to fight mobile, dispersed maneuver warfare that evades and overcomes enemy targeting, PDMs and TFS. The Cavalry is in more mobile, lighter tanks than the main body Dragoons, doing the cavalry FUNCTIONS of recon, security and the commander's hip-pocket reserve force to knock-out the enemy or bolster our own main body if being over-whelmed.

Even with everyone with 2-way radios, you'd radio SFC Carpenter who'd not reply. The Uncontrolled Jumper (UJ) scenario needs a better fix. No reply, the team's most Experienced Jumper (EJ) follows him--and the wind plus 25 mph ram-air canopy speed to there the UJ lands. The EJ must face into the wind and flare for a safer landing than the UJ. The EJ radios in his position report, buries his canopy for likely rescue helicopter downwash then runs to the UJ and renders first aid.
A Military Emergency Location Transmitter (MELT) needs to be obtained with a timer to go off set for the expected time the jump will need--even a long HAHO glide of up to 25 miles. Upon landing if not disabled, the MELT goes off and the whole world should know where the forgetful jumper or worse case, UJ is.
I know more cost/expense/complication--normie civilians backpack with ELTs. USSOCOM doesn't have MFP11 slush funds to pay for a MELT?
