TactiSMART 007: Lethal Roman Throwing Darts = Throwing Knives = Rifle Hand Grenades (RHGs)

There are several levels of stupidity that must be corrected with civilian normies who don't know shit from experience and military sheeple who have experienced & embraced stupidity given to them by immoral/incompetent military bureaucracy.

Ever hear of the spear? The Javelin? The lethal Roman throwing darts?

No?

How about the bow & arrow? The crossbow?

ALL these hand-launched and powered weapons--including knives--"GIVE" PROJECTILES INTO THE ENEMY.

Guess what?

AFTERWARDS, you can GET THE PROJECTILES BACK from the victim for re-use.

My concerns that the post-Roman Legions in the DARK AGES (yes, the fucking Dark Ages who switched out segmented armor that stopped arrows to crap chain mail that doesn't stop anything) couldn't stop MONGOL horse archers with 300 meter range-reach are well-founded. Less mobile, foot infantry could only defeat horse archers if they were suckered into close range over closed, rough terrains negating the latter's superior 30 mph mobility. Thank God, he killed off the MONGOL leaders before they conquered Western Civilization. We were FUBAR--kind of like today, huh?

The one good thing that took place during the late Roman Empire (before 500 A.D.) was the lethal Roman throwing darts (Plumbata) that could be carried 5 x on the back of the body shield or waist belt that could range-reach 80 meters enough to defeat archer cavalry that ventured too close.

My perpetual irritation is with don't-know-shit normies and milretards posting their stupid comments claiming throwing knives is somehow NOT a desirable fighting capability when at one time throwing such things (Roman throwing darts) was a HUGE BATTLEFIELD WINNER. Remember, I came to my conclusion that throwing knives is an important skill BEFORE discovering the past military success precedent of Roman throwing darts--I have my own independent, generic military understanding--and when I see something good I recognize it immediately without some authority figure telling me.

The same retardstupid mentality concerns the rifle-bayonet which becomes a PIKE that is critical to taking out enemies when firearms are out of ammo and to break the enemy's will in an attack:

The MAIN IDEA that the many mega-idiots do not get is that in modern LAND warfare ALL PREVIOUS WARFARE WEAPONRY TYPES ARE STILL IN PLAY for possible use; that latest weaponry types do not necessarily REPLACE the older forms because man is still man undergird by the Earth surface underneath him. So like Bruce Lee's pan-formatic Kung Fu system;

The Legend of Bruce Lee

...the wise army should be powerful at all ranges and situations. This is a difficult thing to achieve but it demands all the stupid time-wasting garritrooper BS be stopped. Throwing knives and rifle-bayonet fighting drills are more important than mowing lawns to please civilian normies & milbureaucrats.

Towards a Modern Roman Legionaire

Its no accident that at the height of Roman Empire, they had a maximum of 30 legions and the post-WW2 German generals concluded 30 divisions was the most military force a society could build and keep at a high level of excellence. War experience to the present day shows around brigade-size--5, 000 men--friendly casualties drop to near nothing compared to deploying in smaller sizes. However, even with 30 x Legions of 6, 000 men, the Romans were sometimes wiped-out (defeated) despite Soldier-level weaponry/skills if their leaders were stupid and put them into no-win Xs & Os situations, legendary NFL coach and Army boxing veteran Bill Walsh would decry. Being stoically tough is not enough--we have to be SMART, too. It also appears Rome beat the great Carthaginian general Hannibal because the former had better technotactical shields--SMART equipment. Sun Tzu warns us to know both ourselves and the enemy ie; be good at both to win 100% of the time which may include REFUSING BATTLE if its an enemy trap--Confederate general Robert E. Lee and today's neocons know this (SMART tactics) not.

1st, ponder land warfare's range-reach distances:

Today's SUPERFIGHT [TM] MANEUVERteam Soldier when on foot away from his moving shield tracked tank and FIREteam rendering long-ranged fires starting from 4, 000 meters away, should have 2 or more bullet trap Rifle Hand Grenades (RHGs) to High Explosive (HE) Terrain Firepower Saturate (TFS) the terrain in front of him of hiding enemies like the 6-foot-long, Roman Pilum pike/spear and/or 1-foot-long Plumbata darts but better--beyond 300 meters--Assault Rifle (AR) range reach.

If close enough to an enemy sentry to take him out with a skilled knife throw--say 10 meters, he should have a belt sheath with 3 such knives. A Soldier with an AR/ASG combo could take the sentry out with a sub-sonic .22LR round fired thru an adapter in his 20mm/12 gauge Assault Shot Gun. A revolver that doesn't need a full charge to shoot repeatedly sub-sonic .22LR is another option albeit at less than 10 meter range compared to a long barrel's 100 meters. An entire MANEUVERteam with ARs firing .300 Winchester Black-Out thru suppressors so as to silently take-out multiple enemies preserving stealth (not alerting nearby foes to converge) for as long as possible should be integrated with bayonets attached for WW2 British Commando-style night attacks emulated by U.S. ARMY RANGERS to good effect in European combats. If the enemy is 3 meters or less away--this is the Personal Defense Zone (PDZ), the Wire-Cutter Bayonet (WCB) should be already attached to take him out like a stand-off pike if the rifle/carbine cannot fire bullets to do it. SIMBA group tactics using the rifle/bayonet should be practiced/mastered.

America needs to withdraw from its too many overseas bases bankrupting us, forge alliances and completely re-organize our immoral stoical, inept bureaucratic military into professional excellence--as Phillip II of Macedon wisely did--before we suffer a major battlefield disaster--this article is just a part of the reforms needed within our land forces.

Airborne!
