FYI: Siege of Tyre: Predicted by God in the Bible Beforehand in Ezekiel 26
Moreover, in open terrain warfare, Alexander's long pointer pikemen assembled into a giant shield-connected PHALANX depended on LIGHT INFANTRY in front of them indirect, high trajectory-throwing massed, area-effect, missile spear-javelin barrages on the enemy then--running to behind the phalanx for armored protection. Like the later on, adaptively-learning-from-others-Roman Legionaire with 2 x 1-way non-reusable spears/javelins (Pila) to missile attack enemy formations, today's infantry needs 2-3 rifle-hand grenades (not just a few 40mm grenadiers) to bombard enemies with HE area shock action effects--mini-TFS. This light infantry needs TORTOISE effects by deploying from light TANKS and their own towed supply cart/overhead cover roofed fighting positions to evade/withstand enemy counter-bombardments. The Roman segmented body armor was able to withstand arrow direct hits but they wisely realized this was the last resort--missiles must be stopped first AWAY FROM THE BODY by shielding--hence we need gunshields: combatreform.org/gunshield.htm
Airborne!
