FutureWARTHINK 023: Got your 007 Lunch Box? Deadly War Toys Come in BATTLE BOXES

American FOBBITIS: Everything Destroyed On-The-Ground (D.O.T.G.)

The Battle of Britain

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsCLMPLlVdU

The opening scene of the German fighters strafing even the grassy field-dispersed RAF Hurricanes is a dire D.O.T.G. warning the USAF has yet to heed...

The complacent & smugly arrogant Amerikan Department of Defense (DoD) aka Uncle Siam now under Chinese Communist Kontrol via Hoe Xiden illegally occupying the White House has not just shirked its duties when confronted with an enemy election steal,

...this corrupt bureaucracy refuses to adapt and overmatch to the Pattern of War and overcome it.

The U.S. Military (USMIL) is dangerously vulnerable with its lucratively $$$ costly, obvious Forward Operating Base mania (FOBBITIS) to the increasing Precision Directed Munitions (PDMs) threat--now gone hyper-sonic in speeds and nearly impossible to shoot-down. Add in manned and unmanned drone swarms at lower speeds/altitudes flooding weak aerospace defenses and the USMIL is likely to be D.O.T.G. just like a James Bond movie, "Goldeneye" EMP strike.

Translation: In the foundation of the Russian forces of non-nuclear containment will be hypersonic weapon complexes of different basing.

This is what Shoigu told to the participants of the operational-mobilization meeting of the command corps in Moscow. Now, the mathematics of the conventional war in Europe (and against the U.S. proper) in case U.S. and NATO decide to suicide themselves was in place for years. And it changes non-stop towards dis-balancing constantly, because Russia's Armed Forces are in a perpetual technological and operational evolution, which is the first sign of a healthy and cutting-edge military. So, can Russia deliver an Alpha-strike at any combination of NATO forces in Europe? Evidently she can, since stand-off high precision weapons are being delivered and deployed constantly and, given those systems very long ranges and very high probabilities of acquiring targets and "leaking" through NATO's air/missile defenses, one can, with a solid reliability predict that on the modern battlefield, survival of the stationary targets (such as airfields, troops assembly areas, field HQs etc.) without top level integrated air/missile defense is getting exceedingly low.

NATO doesn't have air/missile defense which can handle massive cruise missiles salvo, let alone any hyper-sonic weapon. Even considering the inevitable degrading of the C4ISR, including low-orbit space recon assets, modern means of detection, air defense and targeting allow Russia to see aircraft at the runways as far away as Netherlands. What could be a result of such an "Alpha-strike"? It is easy to predict--a massive loss in personnel and hardware. How massive? Let me get out on a limb here and give the order of magnitude of personnel losses--many thousands from the first strike. Those air assets which will manage to get airborne will have to fight in the environment they never experienced before: aggressive ECM-ECCM, multi-layered Air Defense, including AD ambushes and, in the end, facing off with a world-class RuAF operating from well defended airfields. Yes, folks, Russia is not Iraq. She is not even Iran. Moreover, she is not even China. That is a whole other level of military preparedness and firepower.  And then, of course, there are naval assets of NATO. What would NATO do if it loses a division-size force (across all domains) in a first strike? Your guess is a good as mine.

Box Modularity: Mobility Should be Learned When Young

As a kid we were all highly-mobile walking to school and carrying everything we needed once there. We all wanted the 007 lunch box--but only 1x kid in school had one.

I settled for the "Auto Race" car lunch box since NO ONE had a Speed Racer one which also had a magnetic spinner for a magnet car game on back.

Superb Lunch Box Survey

https://www.museumofamericanspeed.com/lunchboxes.html

The 8.75" wide, 6.75" tall, and 4" deep, school lunch box is a clever "system" of a small thermos holding milk and the other space a sandwich (I love Miracle Whip) and a HO-HO Swiss cake roll.

https://www.lunchbox.com/products/star-wars-rogue-one-lunchbox?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_pid=8402534729&pr_ref_pid=458517832&pr_seq=uniform

Scale-up the lunch box to 20 feet long and 8 feet wide/high and you have the sturdy air/land/sea box that moves the world. The world's militaries recognize ISO shipping container modularity in use all around the world and have weaponized them into "BATTLE BOXes":

www.combatreform.org/battleboxes.htm

Not the USMIL--particularly the inflexible USN/Mc both of whom are in racketeering lust of $$$ BIG bases and/or weak wheeled, unarmored weapon platforms that are BIG TARGETS in war. Compare this to the Alpha Strike-centric Russian military.

The Russians pack 8x Anti-Ship Missiles (ASMs) in 2x shipping containers in 175-ton, small combat ships:

https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/19796/russias-new-little-missile-packing-patrol-ship-is-a-pretty-genius-design

That, rather than the silly U.S. Navy use of containers on much larger ships which better lend themselves to NON-modular (which doesn't mean "not versatile" if you do it right) systems, is the way to leverage the SMALL SIZE of containers on Small Fast Boats (SFBs). Containers are tiny like SFBs and "appropriate size" matters.

Meanwhile, the USN's LCS clusterfuck of surface ship TIN CANs have ZERO ASMs at 250 tons. Their 72-ton SFBs lack armored, discretely-sized mother ships to convey them across oceans and don't even have a single ASM on them and can't operate aircraft to see the battlefield Over-The-Horizon (OTH) while under 20-ton civilian SFBs operate helicopters & seaplanes routinely!

Pathetic.

The Russian small combat ships can traverse their rivers and canals to appear out the Black or Baltic seas.

Hip-Pocket Air Forces--on Land & Sea

The Little Nellie autogyro in the James Bond, agent 007 movie, You Only Live Twice (YOLT) is instructive and can be covertly delivered anywhere in the world in 4x tiny suitcases aka boxes. Ground mobility is key to avoiding D.O.T.G. Even the Little Nellie's opponents, Bell model 47s are trailer-mobile...

Notice how the see-thru frame helps camouflage the helo from enemy detection...www.combatreform.org/camie.htm

One of the 4x boxes has the main rotor and rear prop seen clearly in the promotional movie below:

Welcome to Japan, Mr. Bond (1967 TV Movie)

The ship or boat is already moving forward to add to a head wind for simpler-than-helicopter autogyros to vertically launch & land at sea. Autogyro flight is just one of many methods easily available to drones but can be manned to have maximum recovery & re-use so the Amerikan tax payer is not bankrupted by an expensive throw-away UAV racket.

If you Must Have Drones...NOE Scout Helos Need the Option

Make your Little Bird OPV NOTAR for Stealth & Safety!

Ponder U.S. ARMY NOE flight TTPE3 for Little Nellie's nemesis in YOLT: the Bell  model 47 below....it might be a good idea flying the scout helicopter REMOTELY than having humans so low to the ground in unarmored tin cans full of fuel...the AeroTank flying just over the tree tops is NOT in the same vulnerable predicament and gets down at Point B ASAP.

This historic film THE ARMY DOZEN AND THE H-13K SIOUX ON THE WARPATH was created by Bell Helicopter to showcase 12x "nap of the earth" maneuvers for pilots. Nap-of-the-earth (abbreviated NOE) is a type of very low-altitude flight course used by military aircraft to avoid enemy detection and attack in a high-threat environment. During NOE flight, geographical features are used as cover, exploiting valleys and folds in the terrain by flying in, rather than over, them. This keeps below enemy air defense radar coverage, avoiding being silhouetted against the sky. Other, mostly older terms include "ground-hugging", "terrain masking", "flying under the radar" and "hedge-hopping".

The so-called “Army Dozen," a series of twisting, weaving and dodging flight configurations developed informally, in some cases borrowed or improved upon from tactics used by agricultural helicopter operators, aimed at using trees, hills, river beds as concealment and to confuse the enemy.  Summarizing some of the maneuvers performed by the H-13K are:

• Twists, which arc evasive skids at cruise speeds, spraying machine gun fire to develop enemy locations.

• Hit-the-deck; a rapid descent to avoid getting hit or sustaining additional damage.

• Low autorotation comprised of low- level autorotations from three to 15-ft. altitudes.

• Jump-fire-run; in which the helicopter executes a sharp vertical climb from a concealed position, stops abruptly at or slightly below tree-top level, fires a ma-chine gun burst at the enemy and then peels off sharply for a getaway.

• Reversal; which involves making 180-deg. sharp turns in confined area, using maximum side-ward stick displacement

• Cornering autorotation; which involves making autorotations from downwind or crosswind cruise, turning 90-deg. into the wind while at three to 15-ft. altitudes.

• Pinnacle stop; a low-level, high-speed approach to a pinnacle or hill and landing directly without gaining altitude above the pinnacle.

• Scramble; which involves a rapid low-level takeoff regardless of wind condition, for downwind takeoffs and emergencies.

• Quick squat; a low-level downwind landing with 180-deg. turn into the wind just prior to touchdown.

• Blivet; a low-level approach and landing in a confined area which may be smaller than the rotor diameter. This maneuver may involve flying through underbrush.

• Whoa-boy; a low-level quick stop using side-ward flare to reduce exposure to the enemy.

• See-saw; a series of snap vertical climbs and rapid descents for use in artillery fire spotting.

The helicopters shown, Bell H-13Ks, were apparently an experiment by the Army. These were actually converted H-13Hs with a larger diameter rotor and a 225 hp (168 kW) Franklin 6VS-335 [piston] engine (made for test evaluation).

The Bell H-13 Sioux was a two-bladed, single [piston] engine, light helicopter built by Bell Helicopter. Westland Aircraft manufactured the Sioux under license for the British military as the Sioux AH.1 and HT.2

The H-13 was used as a medical evacuation M*A*S*H helicopter in the Korean War and an observation helicopter early in the Vietnam War, before being replaced by the [turbine-engined] OH-6 Cayuse [Little Bird] in 1966.

The Bell 47 was ordered by the British Army as the Sioux to meet specification H.240, with licensed production by Westland Helicopters. In order to comply with the terms of its licence agreement with Sikorsky Aircraft, which prevented it building a U.S. competitor's aircraft, Westland licensed the Model 47 from Agusta, who had purchased a license from Bell.[4] the first contract was for 200 helicopters. The first 50 helicopters of the contract were built by Agusta at Gallarate in Italy followed by 150 built by Westland at Yeovil. The first Westland Sioux made its maiden flight on 9 March 1965.

Ominously, the CCP CHICOMs are exploiting autogyros en masse to infiltrate scout swarms deep into our battlespaces....

Not so funny now, is it?

Commander Ian Fleming RNVR 1939-51 wrote the James Bond 007 books/movies for the Information Research Division of MI6-SIS who he worked for as a Master Spy under journalistic cover from 1933-39 and 1945-1964 when he was murdered (as concluded by legendary investigative reporter, Jim Marrs to me) to prevent him publicly condemning the Warren Commission white wash of the CIA's group ambush murder of his friend, President John F. Kennedy.

James Bond is REAL.
